Goodbye 2012

For some reason today I am in an overly reflective mood. I suppose it could have something to do with it being the last day of the year or it could just be that I am at the office alone and there is little to interrupt my thoughts. As I am reflecting on what transpired in our walk through 2012 I cannot help but be thankful for the many opportunities God has brought before us and how in spite of "this bad economy" He has increased our company's revenue yet another year. After acknowledging that God is the one Who brought all this about I start thinking of the individual people I am thankful for and for the favor AMP has found from our different clients.

We started this year offering FLIR infrared thermography cameras and with that came Extech Instruments test and measuring equipment. The FLIR offering was intended to support some of our clients who had expressed interest in performing more frequent thermographic surveys and having AMP perform analysis on their imaging. This arrangement allows AMP to perform less frequent audit type surveys and puts an important tool in the hands of their maintenance personnel everyday. Offering FLIR imaging equipment went better than we expected and we have much to thank FLIR and their support staff for as we learned how to market and sell their products through the year.

Throughout 2012 we have added several new clients while continuing support for our existing clients. We are thankful and appreciative of our customers. It is our goal to support and enhance each facility's maintenance program in a way that will continue to earn your business.

For the past several years we had been renting a high current test set whenever the need arose. This year we have added a high current test set to our inventory of equipment. This test set induces test current onto low voltage circuit breakers to verify trip settings and curves. In 2012 we also added a three phase power quality meter which we find ourselves using quite frequently these days. Having this equipment in house allows us to more quickly respond to the needs of our clients. We have finished out the year with the purchase of a more fuel efficient vehicle for our technicians. We are routinely evaluating our processes and procedures to determine cost saving measures that we can pass on to our clients. This vehicle purchase is one way we are responding to the market's increased fuel costs without increasing our rates.

Although having less direct impact on our clients, we are happy to report that the new year brings with it the implementation of an employee retirement plan here at AMP. As most of you know, our employees are our best asset. Retaining and enabling our employees to live quality lives is of utmost importance to us. As AMP has matured, we have been challenged to look for new ways to reward those employees who mean so much to us. Also implemented in the last year is a performance bonus plan that allows our employees to earn points for a percentage of bonus pool money each month that the company is profitable. All this motivation should add up to consistent client satisfaction. If not we want to hear about it!

Throughout 2012 we have added several new clients while continuing support for our existing clients. We are thankful and appreciative of our customers. It is our goal to support and enhance each facility's maintenance program in a way that will continue to earn your business.
